I start by mapping what the current system does, what data it holds and what would break if anything changed. Then I plan the migration in stages, building the new system alongside the old one rather than replacing it blind. I verify data and behavior at each stage, and only cut over when the new system is proven. This is slower than a rewrite, and it is also far safer.

Most failed migrations happen because someone tried to move everything at once or skipped verification. A staged migration keeps your business running while the new system is built and tested. The result is a modern, maintainable codebase that you can actually extend, without the risk and downtime of a big bang rewrite.

Is migration safer than a full rewrite?
Usually yes. A staged migration builds the new system alongside the old one and verifies each step, so your business keeps running and nothing is lost. A rewrite from scratch carries more risk and often takes longer.
Can you migrate my WordPress site to Strapi?
Yes. That includes moving content, media and structure into Strapi, and connecting a frontend if you need one. WordPress and Strapi store content differently, so part of the work is mapping the structure correctly.
Will my users see downtime during the move?
The goal is minimal or no downtime. I build and test the new system before cutover and plan the switch so disruption to your users is as small as possible.
How long does a migration take?
It depends on the size of the system and how different the target is. I give a clear timeline after assessing what needs to move and what the risks are.
